- PETRUS . II . D . CONST . IMP . ET . PERP . BRAS . DEF. Value 40 among florins, circled by wreath of tulips. Date and monetary letter "G" or "C" (depending on the Mint), separated by a point and between crosses. Above all, a general seal was applied with the numeral 10 in the center of the circle. (D. Pedro second, by grace of God, constitutional emperor and perpetual defender of Brazil)
