Drachm from Sasanian Empire. Issued from 273 to 276. Struck in Silver (.900). Measures 27 mm and weighs 4.41 g.

Obverse
A portrait picture of Varhran facing right in a radiant crown with a globe. On the globe there are ornamental points. Ribbons flow from the diadem with their ends upwards. The hair in the from of tightly twisted plaits. Bearded face and moustache. There is a single pointed rim around the picture. Around the neck there is a necklace of large beads. Star in right field The Pahlavi legend (Mazda worshipper, the lord (divine) Varhran, King of Kings of Eran and non-Eran, whose origin is from the gods)
Reverse
An "atasdan" in the form of high column with a base and capitellum. There are figures on both sides. To the left of the altar attendant with stylized mural crown with korymbos, holding lancein right hand, left hand resting on scabbard, to the right, attendant with stylized mural crown with korymbos, holding lance in left hand, right hand resting on scabbard, both facing outwards.
