Mary, armored and holding sword in right hand, left hand on Royal shield, standing facing in ship, adorned with rose, sailing right; M on flag set on stern (Mary by the Grace of God Queen of England France and Ireland 1553)

Floriated cross with lis at end of each limb and rose on sun in center; in angles, crowned lion passant left; all within tressure of eight arches (This is the Lord's doing and it is marvellous in our eyes)
