Description
10 Centimes from France. Issued in 1887. Struck in Nickel silver. Measures 22 mm and weighs 3.5 g.
- Obverse
- The Head of the Republic in the form of Ceres is turned to the right. She is situated between a beam and an olive branch, (symbols of the French Republic), under a star. Under the bust, signature of the engraver.
- Reverse
- In a circle in the center, the face value and the letter of workshop. Between the circle and the scroll the French motto, the word "ESSAI" surrounded by a cornucopia (symbol of the Monnaie de Paris) and a beam of the lictor to symbolize the Republic.
- Edge
- 18-sided slice.
