Description
2 Euros from Italy. Issued in 2018. Struck in Bimetallic: nickel brass clad nickel centre in copper-nickel ring. Measures 25.75 mm and weighs 8.5 g.
- Obverse
- Enrico De Nicola, the temporary head of state and the person who signed the act of promulgation of the Constitution of the Italian Republic on December 27, 1947, and Alcide De Gasperi, the president of the Council, to his right and Umberto Terracini, the president of the Italian Constituent Assembly, to this left. Above the inscription "COSTITUZIONE" and the monogram of the Italian Republic "RI"; below the words "CON SICURA COSCIENZA", the mint mark "R" and the dates "1948 • 2018", respectively the year of the entry into force of the Italian Constitution and the year of issue of the coin; on the left the initials "UP" of the author Uliana Pernazza.
