Obverse

On the front side of the coin in the central part on an ornamental background there is an image of a folk musical instrument - dombra. In the right sector there is an inscription "500 ТЕНГЕ", denoting the face value of the coin, and the inscription "Ag 925 31,1g" denoting the metal from which the coin is made, its sample and mass. The inscription along the rim is "ҚАЗАҚСТАН РЕСПУБЛИКАСЫ" in the state language and "РЕСПУБЛИКА КАЗАХСТАН" in Russian. (500 tenge

Reverse

On the reverse side of the coin there is a fragment of the game on the dombra on the background of stylized images of the mountains, the Kazakh settlement, steppe, horses, musical staff with a piece of music for dombra.
