Obverse

On the obverse coins in the central part the emblem of the Republic of Kazakhstan is depicted. In the lower part - the number "500" and the inscription "ТЕҢГЕ", denoting the face value of the coin. In the left and right sectors, an element of national ornament is mirrored, along the rim - inscriptions "ҚАЗАҚСТАН РЕСПУБЛИКАСЫ" in the state language and "РЕСПУБЛИКА КАЗАХСТАН" in Russian. Reverse

On the reverse side of the coins in the central part there is a fragment of the front side of the banknote of 100 tenge denomination of the 1993 model, on which the portrait of Abylai Khan is placed.
