- Face value in Hebrew and English "2 New Sheqalim". Israel State Emblem, "Israel" in English, Hebrew and Arabic, border inscription "Independence Day" in Hebrew and English and the year 2001/5761 (Silver Proof coins - Hebrew letter "Mem")

- A pomegranate symbolizes a person filled with knowledge, who is described as "as full as a pomegranate".
