Obverse

On the obverse (obverse) of the coin in the upper part of the polished circle there is a coat of arms of the Republic of Kazakhstan framed by a five-fold turned ornamental eight-pointed rosette and the inscription "ҚАЗАҚСТАН YЛТТЫК БАНКI" in the state language. In the lower part the number "5000" and under it the inscription "ТЕҢГЕ" denoting the face value of the coin. To the left of the face value is the trademark of the Kazakhstan Mint and the inscription "1 kg." indicating the mass of the coin, to the right - the inscription "Ag 925" denoting the metal from which the coin and its sample are made. Reverse

On the reverse side of the coin in the middle of the polished circle on the background of the stylized geographical map of the Republic of Kazakhstan is a fragment of the upper part of the Independence Monument on the Republic Square in Almaty. To the right of the warrior is the inscription "10 ЖЫЛ" located in two lines and under it an image of the element of the national flag of the Republic of Kazakhstan and the inscription "АСТАНА". In the upper part of the circumference there is an inscription "ТУУЕЛСІЗ ҚАЗАҚСТАНҒА" in the state language. In the lower part - the number "2001" denotes the year of coinage.
