Obverse
On the front side of the coins in the central part is an image of the fragment of the ornament. In the upper part there is an inscription "50 ТЕҢГЕ" located in two lines and denoting the face value of the coin, in the lower part there is an inscription "Au 999" denoting the metal from which the coin and its sample are made. On the circumference there is the inscription "ҚАЗАҚСТАН ҰЛТТЫҚ БАНКІ" in the state language. (50 tenge

Reverse
On the reverse side of the coin in the central part there is an image of an overlapping plaque depicting a cat predator and two deer in a mirror image found during archaeological excavations of the Berel mound. In the upper part the number "2009" denoting the year of coinage. The inscription along the rim is "CAT PREDATOR HEAD" in English.
