1 Thaler - Ferdinand II of Tyrol from Landgraviate of Upper Alsace. Issued from 1584 to 1595. Struck in Silver (.875). Measures 40 mm and weighs 28.3 g.

- Crowned half-length armoured figure holding sceptre over right shoulder. Ornaments crosses.

- Crowned manifold arms with central shield of Upper Alsace, Order of Golden Fleece around, two small shields of the Habsburg at left and of Ferrette at right divide legend.
