Description
2 Dirhams - "Ilkhan" Sulayman from Chupanid puppet state of Ilkhanate. Issued in 741. Struck in Silver. Measures 17 mm and weighs 1.2 g.
- Obverse
- The title of the sultan inside a double octolobe inscribed in a circle. Inside the lobes, the name of the workshop as well as the year of issue in all letters. Presence of infinite knots above the inscriptions "Suleiman" and "Khan" as well as six-pointed stars before and after these inscriptions.
- Reverse
- The beginning of the kalima is written on two lines in a circle decorated with globules and continuing around the perimeter in each field of a projecting quatrefoil inscribed in a circle. The names of the first four caliphs are written between each lobe; there is a grenetis and an infinite knot in the center.
