- Obverse
- Above the face value, a bird's head in profile with spread wings stands out on the outline of the Atlantic coast of France. Circular legend: "RÉPUBLIQUE FRANÇAISE", different and vintage.
- Reverse
- In circular legend "ROLAND GARROS 1888 - 1918". In the center representation of a Morane-Saulnier type N plane and the bust of Roland Garros. Under the plane the signature "H. DHUETTHE". Roland Garros (1888-1918) was a pioneer of aviation. On September 23, 1913 he made the first crossing of the Mediterranean.
