- Obverse
- The stylized federal eagle, the traditional symbol of German sovereignty, overhung by the name of the state "BUNDESREPUBLIK DEUTSCHLAND". Below the eagle is the inscription "SILBER 925". Along the scroll, the year, the face value "20 EURO" and the twelve stars of the European Union in two groups of six. On the right side is the letter "A" of the Berlin workshop.
