Description
½ Penny from Canadian provinces. Issued in 1835. Struck in Brass. Measures 27.5 mm and weighs 5.2 g.
- Obverse
- Bust facing left. Very crude with poorly cut curls. The cuirass has six flaps and the shirt frill has four ruffles.
- Reverse
- Harp facing left. The harp has eight strings with the first attached to the wing. The foot of the harp points between the "1" and "8" of the date, if the date is present. A large centrally positioned dot appears among the strings. Sometimes date below.
- Edge
- Plain.
