Obverse

A composition containing, in the foreground, a vintage image of the Belgica ship during its expedition to Antarctica and the inscription “Expeditia navei BELGICA”, and, in the background, a partial image of the Institute of Speleology in Cluj, founded by Emil Racoviță; the inscription “ROMANIA” in an arc, the face value “10 LEI”, the coat of arms of Romania and the year of issue “2018”.

Reverse

The portrait of Emil Racoviță, the inscription “EMIL RACOVITA” in an arc, and his birth and death years, “1868” and “1947”.
