Description
AR Akçe from Artuqids of Mardin. Issued in 748. Struck in Silver. Measures 18 mm and weighs 1.43 g.
- Obverse
- Inscription written on five lines with the title of the sovereign and the name of the workshop on the last one; the whole in a salient quadrilobe. Around, inscriptions contained in a circle. Presence of a grenetis.
- Reverse
- Kalima inscribed on three lines inside a hexagon whose four cardinal points form a folium towards the outside; internally, at the level of each of these loops, an inscription. Externally, at each corner, inscriptions separated by knots; the whole inscribed in a circle and followed by a grenetis.
