- Obverse
- Crowned right facing half-length bust of Charles I, wielding a sceptre and orb. 'B' at the beginning of the legend and thistle at the end of the legend. (Charles, by the Grace of God, King of Great Britain, France and Ireland)
- Reverse
- Crowned royal arms, crowned 'C' to the left and crowned 'R' to the right (I am set over them, that I may be profitable to them.)
