- Obverse
- The aircraft B-5 was constructed by Oldřich Haller, who worked in the Pilsen Air Bohemian Club. The aircraft was small at that time. It was a two-seat biplane with a two-leaf wooden propeller, an open cabin and a canvas cover. Its construction was based on the components of the discarded Austrian or German machines. A number of parts for the construction were provided by Pilsner fans of aviation - the metal cover was supplied by the plumber company, the propeller was delivered by bodywork company and the covers were stitched by the sisters of one of the mechanics. The inline, water-cooled four-cylinder NAG was German, but constructively used as the engine introduced by brothers Wright. Engineer Haller contributed to increase its performance by 20% to 40 horses. The engine even survived the tragic accident and served until the last breath. Even though the Bohemia B-5 was rebuilt into a fashionable one-seat glider, it was exhibited with its original engine in the National Technical Museum, where we can admire it today.
