Description
2 Euros - Philippe from Belgium. Issued in 2020. Struck in Bimetallic: nickel brass centre in copper-nickel ring. Measures 25.75 mm and weighs 8.5 g.
- Obverse
- The piece is dedicated to the International Year of Plant Health and shows in the middle the official logo of the International Year of Plant Health (IYPH 2020). The leaves, arranged like a globe, symbolize healthy plants as a source of oxygen that we breathe, the food we eat and all life on planet Earth. Above is the edition event in English and on the left the mint sign of Ingrid van Herzele and on the right the coin sign of the Dutch Mint in Utrecht. The country abbreviation "BE" and the year "2020" are arranged at the bottom of the image. The twelve stars of the European flag are represented on the outer ring of the coin.
