Obverse
Continuing the series dedicated to the most respected figures of the Portuguese architecture, both nationally and internationally, a coin alludes now to the architect João Luís Carrilho da Graça, author of projects that mark the urban landscape of several cities, such as the Cruise Terminal in Lisbon, among others. The coin, created by Julião Sarmento, one of the most prestigious contemporary artists in Portugal, shows on the reverse a simple and refined representation of the Escola Superior de Comunicação Social de Lisboa, a building designed by Carrilho da Graça and distinguished with the International Association of Art Critics Prize in 1992.
