1 Gros from France. Issued in 1354. Struck in Billon (.266 silver). Measures 28 mm and weighs 2.88 g.
- Obverse
- Cross with quadrilobes in the 2nd and 3rd quarters; double circular legend (external legend of religious nature and internal legend indicating the name of the king).
- Reverse
- Inscribed "FRAnC" in a single line in the field (completing the inner legend of the right) between two horizontal lines framed by two crowns, each of which is flanked by two lilies; outer border consisting of twelve lilies, each placed in the center of a double orb.
