- Obverse
- On the obverse, in the central area, is reproduced, in colour, an image of the Spanish polar research vessel Hesperides, according to a photograph owned by the Spanish Navy. (BIO HESPÉRIDES M SPAIN 2019)
- Reverse
- On the back (common to all the pieces) appears the value of the coin 1.5 EURO and the legend HISTORY OF NAVIGATION. Out of the central circle, six dolphins appear jumping over the same aquatic motifs that appear in the anverses. (HISTORY OF NAVIGATION1,5 EURO)
