A diademed portrait of Grand Duchess Charlotte on the right, with a royal crown on the nape of her neck, the engravers' signature below the portrait's bowl and the word ESSAI near her chin. Surrounded by commemorative dates and a double legend in contemporary script.
Reverse
In the center an aerial view of the castle on the rock of the "Bock" as well as of the city with its enclosure, surmounted by the inscription LVCILINBVRHVC on a phylactery, facial value in exergue.
