25 Kuna from Croatia. Issued in 2020. Struck in Bimetallic: copper-aluminium-nickel centre in copper-nickel ring (Core: 92% Cu, 6% Al, 2% Ni, Ring: 75% Cu, 25% Ni). Measures 32 mm and weighs 12.75 g.

Obverse

The centre of the coin core features the stylised denomination numeral “25”. The outlines of the number “25” reveal an image of a marten turned to the right, with the marten’s body integrated with the denomination numeral. Positioned above the denomination numeral and the image of a marten, on the coin’s core surface, is an image of the coat of arms of the Republic of Croatia. The name of the monetary unit “KUNA” is inscribed below the numeral, within the coin’s core. A common oak branch with acorns is positioned at the left of the denomination numeral, on the coin’s ring surface. A laurel branch in bloom is positioned at the right of the denomination numeral, on the coin's ring surface. The inscription “REPUBLIKA” is laid out semi-circularly above the presentation of the coin’s core on the coin's ring surface, and the inscription “HRVATSKA” is laid out semi-circularly below the core on the coin's ring surface. Reverse

The inner part of the core features a presentation of the official logo of the “Typographic Chessboard” to mark the Croatian Presidency of the Council of the European Union 2020, which is a typographic image made up of letters and numbers whose relative position evokes the squares of the coat of arms of the Republic of Croatia. By composition, using the acronyms “HR” and “EU” and the presidency year “2020”, it conveys the connection between Croatia and the European Union. The inscription “HRVATSKO PREDSJEDANJE VIJEĆEM EUROPSKE UNIJE” (CROATIAN PRESIDENCY OF THE COUNCIL OF THE EUROPEAN UNION) is laid out circularly within the ring.
