- A snowfield with a tracked vehicle and a human observer beneath a coloured representation of the Aurora Australis. The portrayal appears within the outline of Antarctica. As well as the inscription 2013 : AURORA AUSTRALIS, it includes the words ”Australian Antarctic Territory” and the mint's traditional “P”mint mark.
