Large crown in the field, surrounded by laurel leaf ornaments that intersect the legend and the numbers. On the left the day and month in Roman numerals (XII-XI) and on the right the year in Roman numerals (MCMLXIV) of the accession to the throne of the Grand Duke John of Luxembourg. In the exergue the motto: I WILL MAINTAIN.
