- The final coin in the Portuguese Architecture series is dedicated to Gonçalo Byrne, one of the most prestigious Portuguese architects and author of a vast work that has already received many Portuguese and international awards of particular significance in the areas of heritage and culture. This coin, created by sculptor Eloísa Byrne, features a representation of the Port of Lisbon’s Maritime Traffic Control Tower, an award-winning design that is one of the most emblematic examples of the work of architect Gonçalo Byrne.
