Description

Agnel d'or from France. Issued from 1423 to 1427. Struck in Gold (.917). Measures 23.5 mm and weighs 2.5 g.

Obverse
Paschal lamb on the left, one of its front legs raised, head turned to the right and nimbed, in front of a trefoiled cross with upper crosslet and with a gonfanon that cuts the legend at the exergue and rests on a trefoil, all within a pelleted polylobe interrupted at the bottom by °K° R- FX°.
Reverse
Trifoliate cross with a five-pointed star within a heart-shaped angled quatrefoil, cantoned at 1 by a cross, at 2, 3 and 4 by a lily, all within an angled quatrefoil cantoned by eight small lilies.
