½ Rose noble from Province of Utrecht. Issued from 1600 to 1602. Struck in Gold (.958). Measures 22 mm and weighs 3.9 g.
- Obverse
- King in ship facing, holding sword with right hand and shield with provincial arms in left hand; on stern, banner with rampant lion left; large rose on ship's hull. (New gold coin of the province of Utrecht)
- Reverse
- Cross fleurée with eight-rayed central star, in each quarter, crown above passant lion left; all within double octolobe of arches; dots in spandrels. (Unity makes strength)
