In the central part of the coin – an image of John Paul II surrounded by a halo. Below – an outline of the St. Peter’s Basilica and the date for canonization of John Paul II. On the both sides of the pope – multi-coloured images of Black Madonna of Częstochowa and Mary the Mother of Church from the Colonna chapel.
