- Obverse
- In the centre – stained glass-work depicting the Holy Spirit taken from the main nave of the St. Peter’s Basilica. On the left – the effigy of Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II. On the right side of the coin – frescos which decorate the dome of the St. Peter’s Basilica
- Reverse
- In the central part of the coin – an image of John Paul II surrounded by a halo. Below – an outline of the St. Peter’s Basilica and the date for canonization of John Paul II. On the both sides of the pope – multi-coloured images of Black Madonna of Częstochowa and Mary the Mother of Church from the Colonna chapel.
