- Pope Francis' coat of arms held by the four evangelists.
- Reverse
- Christ at the center, key figure and fulfillment of divine Revelation, represented in the traditional iconography of Christ blessing. The Holy Spirit, represented as coming from and sent by Jesus himself. The Spirit dominates, guides and protects the Church, symbolized by the boat buffeted by the rough sea. The background shows the Twelve Apostles on whom the Church is founded by divine mandate, and from whom the Gospel is proclaimed to all generations.
