Description

10 Francs from France. Issued from 1991 to 2001. Struck in Bimetallic: nickel centre in copper-aluminium ring. Measures 22.86 mm and weighs 6.5 g.

Obverse
In the center the winged Genius of Liberty holding a torch in his right hand. On either side the letters "R" and "F" for French Republic. The periphery is made up of a series of striated geometric patterns. The different of the workshop of Engraving of the Mints and Medals (AGMM) is under the letter "R". The July Column was erected on the Place de la Bastille in Paris in commemoration of the Three Glorious Years of July 1830. Its top is decorated with a gilded bronze sculpture by Auguste Dumont: the Genius of Liberty. (French Republic.)
Reverse
The circular legend reads "LIBERTÉ ÉGALITÉ FRATERNITÉ". In the center, the face value "10 F", the year and the different denominations of the Paris mint. In the background, a striated triangular geometric figure. (Liberty, Egality, Fraternity)
