¼ Sovereign - Elizabeth II from Gibraltar. Issued in 2020. Struck in Gold (.9167) (22ct). Measures 13.5 mm and weighs 1.99 g.
- Obverse
- Right facing head of Queen Elizabeth II, wearing the George IV State Diadem, legend around, date below (Elizabeth II, By the Grace of God, Queen. Gibraltar . 2020 .)
- Reverse
- The design depicts a rendition of H.R.H Prince Philip's coat of arms which represents his lineage as a Prince of Greece and Denmark on his paternal side, and his decent from the Mountbatten family on his maternal side. The coat of arms is encircled by a garland of roses set apon a laurel wreath referencing the roses that appear on the personal flag of her Majesty. The letters E and P appear in the 9 o'clock and 3 o'clock positions respectively
