The words “Sri Lanka” in English, Sinhala, and Tamil appear along the periphery on the upper edge of the coin. The words “Rupees” in Sinhala, Tamil and English are indicated at the bottom edge of the coin.

Reverse

The front view of the Nelum Pokuna Mahinda Rajapaksa Theatre depicts at the centre of the coin with national flags of Sri Lanka and China. The year "2022" is depicted below the Theatre in large numerals. The words “Sri Lanka-China 65 Years” in English, Sinhala and Tamil appears along the periphery.
