Description

1 Agnel from Duchy of Brabant. Issued from 1357 to 1371. Struck in Gold. Measures 30 mm and weighs 4.55 g.

Obverse
Pascal lamb toward left, nimbate, with head turned right. Cross-tipped staff with banner behind, lettering IOh DVX below its feet. All inside a beaded circle inscribed with arcs. (Lamb of God, who takes away the sins of the world, have pity on us)
Reverse
Floriate triple cross with rosette in center and fleur-de-lis in the angles, inside polylobe with corners. Eight small fleur-de-lis surrounding. (Christ conquers, Christ reigns, Christ commands)
