Description
1 Agnel from Duchy of Brabant. Issued from 1357 to 1371. Struck in Gold. Measures 30 mm and weighs 4.55 g.
- Obverse
- Pascal lamb toward left, nimbate, with head turned right. Cross-tipped staff with banner behind, lettering IOh DVX below its feet. All inside a beaded circle inscribed with arcs. (Lamb of God, who takes away the sins of the world, have pity on us)
- Reverse
- Floriate triple cross with rosette in center and fleur-de-lis in the angles, inside polylobe with corners. Eight small fleur-de-lis surrounding. (Christ conquers, Christ reigns, Christ commands)
