Obverse

The obverse common to all coins in the series shows the sun in the center, with the lunar phases around it. The image of the sun is surrounded by three feathers, which symbolize the Republic of San Marino, and by the twelve astrological signs along the perimeter. (Republic of San Marino)

Reverse

The reverse of the coin shows in the middle a stylized image of the sign to which it is dedicated. The astrological sign of Aquarius, is represented ten times along the perimeter of the coin, with the year of minting at the top, and the face value, 5 euro, at the bottom.
