Description
¼ Patagon from County of Flanders. Issued from 1612 to 1620. Struck in Silver (.875). Measures 31 mm and weighs 7.03 g.
- Obverse
- Crowned Saint Andrew's cross, with firesteel at center, jewel of the Golden Fleece hanging below, flanked by crowned triple C monogram on each side. Mint mark (fleur-de-lis) at top. (Albert and Isabella, by the grace of God.)
- Reverse
- Crowned shield with multiple quarters surrounded by the collar of the Order of the Golden Fleece , crown dividing the legend and date (if present). (Archdukes of Austria, Dukes of Burgundy and Counts of Flanders.)
