Noble - Philip the Good, 3d emission from County of Flanders. Issued from 1428 to 1430. Struck in Gold (.995). Measures 34 mm and weighs 6.95 g.
- Obverse
- Duke Philip wearing crown of roses, standing on sailing ship, raising sword in right hand, and holding Burgundian shield with small lion shield in center in left. (Philip, by God's grace Duke of Burgundy and Count and Lord of Flanders)
- Reverse
- Short floriate cross with rosette at center, inside octolobe, a lion, crown and trefoil in each angle of the cross, and small trefoil in each exterior angle of the polylobe (Jesus, passing through the midst of them, went his way)
