With the snowy hillside curving gently upward on the left side of the image and a view of a frozen lake and tree-lined mountains in the far distance, the image conveys the gentle rolling hilly terrain familiar to so many Canadians. Just behind the children, another child is captured mid-tumble, a small sled flying high into the air. The children are backgrounded by a red snow-covered house.
