Description
5 Dollars - Elizabeth II from Canada. Issued in 2014. Struck in Silver (.9999). Measures 36 mm and weighs 22.9 g.
- Obverse
- Head of Queen Elizabeth II, as at 77 years of age, bare headed, wearing necklace and earrings, facing right. (Elizabeth II Queen by the grace of God)
- Reverse
- Cree artist Tim Whiskeychan has created a wonderful design of a traditional Aboriginal hunter taking aim at a pair of Canada geese with his bow and arrow. He is wearing traditional Cree clothing. The hunter is hiding behind tall grass that would typically border a body of water where boreal forest meets grasslands. The snow melt on the water suggests this is a springtime goose hunt.
