- Name of Emperor within square with knots at each end, Mint Name on left, and RY date. Legend in the four quadrant, "Shah Jahan badshah ghazi" in the center square (Star of the Faith, Lord Muhammad, Second Lord of the Conjunction of two Planets (Jupiter and Saturn), Struck at Patna mint Emperor and fighter for Islam Shah Jahan)
- Reverse
- Kalima within Square with knots at each end. Surrounded by the 4 great caliphs names and titles on each side: (Siddique) Abu Bakr”, (Adale) Umar”, (haya) Usmaan” and (ilme) Ali”. AH date 1048 (There is no god but Allah Muhammad is his messenger Abu Bakr, Umar, Usmaan, Ali)
