- Obverse
- The Trulli of Alberobello and a characteristic Apulian dry stone wall, both recognised as a World Heritage Site by UNESCO, are bordered on the right by an olive tree, symbol of the region of Puglia, on the left by the Pumo of Grottaglie, one of the most representative local craft products, and, below, by stylized waves with a dolphin, a recurring symbol on Taranto staters, ancient Apulian coins. On the right, the name of the designer "M. BONIFACIO", above, the inscription "PUGLIA", below, "REPUBBLICA ITALIANA". (Apulia Italian Republic)
- Reverse
- Composition of typical food and wine products of the Puglia region: bread from Altamura, “orecchiette” pasta, an olive branch and a glass of wine. Around and in the field, decorative elements inspired by fretwork motifs in Apulian Romanesque style drawn from the chair of Sant'Elia housed in the Basilica of San Nicola, Bari. Above, the arch-shaped inscription "SAPORI D'ITALIA"; on the right, "R", identifying the Mint of Rome; in exergue, the date "2022", the year of the coin’s issue, and the value "5 EURO". Coin with coloured elements.
