Description
1 Piastra - Ferdinando IV from Kingdom of Naples. Issued from 1766 to 1767. Struck in Silver (.917). Measures 41 mm and weighs 25.61 g.
- Obverse
- Armored bust of young Ferdinand IV, wearing collar of the Order of the Golden Fleece, facing to right. Legend around with the initials of the engraver below the shoulder. (Ferdinand I, by God's grace, King of the Sicilies and Jerusalem.)
- Reverse
- Oval shield of 6-fold arms, with central shield, in crowned baroque frame, 2 chains of orders suspended below, value 'GR.-120' in cartouche at bottom, legend around with date at the end. Letters from Mint Officials on each side of shield. (Spanish Infant. 1767 - 120 Grana)
- Edge
- Decorated in relief with circles and rectangles.
