- Reverse is a specially commissioned design inspired by the monarch’s official E to R cypher, surrounded by the four floral emblems of the UK - the English Rose, the Scottish Thistle, the Irish Shamrock and the Welsh Daffodil. Representing longevity and wisdom, oak leaves and acorns are also included, while on the obverse is an official portrait of our longest-serving sovereign who was crowned in 1953.
