Description

5 Dollars - Elizabeth II from Canada. Issued in 2014. Struck in Platinum (.9995). Measures 16 mm and weighs 3.13 g.

Obverse
Head of Queen Elizabeth II, as at 77 years of age, bare headed, wearing necklace and earrings, facing right. (Elizabeth II Queen by the grace of God)
Reverse
Designed by Canadian artist Cyril Assiniboine, who is Ojibwa, yourcoin is a richly detailed effigy of Nanaboozhoo. While the aboriginal cultural hero is quick to transform into a rabbit in many legends, here he is represented in human form with his face painted. Seen in three-quarter profile, Nanaboozhoo is dressed in a traditional Western Ojibwa dress; feathers stand atop his fur headdress as his long, braided hair spills out from under it.
