- Issuer's name above its coat of arms, with value divided at base of cactus, and the word ESSAI near eagle's left wing tip. (United Mexican States One Peso)

- Liberty riding a horse. On her right hand an oak branch and on her left a flaming torch, with the sun raising on the horizon. The assayer's name near left rim, the word ESSAI near right rim, and date at bottom.
