At the center, the coat of arms of Pope Francis : the blue shield crowned by the mitre between gold and silver crossed keys, bearing a radiant sun, carrying the letters IHS in red (H surmounted by a cross) and three black nails ; an eight-pointed star (tribute paid to Saint Joseph) and a nard flower (tribute paid to the Virgin Mary) beneath the sun ; at the bottom, the inscription MISERANDO ATQUE ELIGENDO ; in the upper part, the legend FRANCISCVS PP.A.XI MMXXIII (or the 11th year of the pontificate of Pope Francis)
