½ Merk from Scotland. Issued from 1637 to 1638. Struck in Silver (.925). Measures 24 mm and weighs 3.34 g.
- Obverse
- Left facing bust of Charles I, bust begins at the edge of the coin, mark of value to the right, 'B' beneath the bust. (Charles, by the Grace of God, King of Scotland, England, France and Ireland)
- Reverse
- Crowned royal arms, 'B' above the crown, crowned 'C' to the left and crowned 'R' to the right. (I reign under the auspices of Christ)
