- The reverse feature the National Memorial Chorten in vibrant colour. Built in 1974, this large impressive and majestic monument with its golden spite is the most visible religious structure in Thimphu and one of the most iconic monument in the Kingdom of Bhutan.

- The obverse features a rooster artistically depicted with a huge and towering comb, forward thrusting chest and a gorgeous curled tail. This energetic and masculine crowing rooster symbolizes prosperity.
